Flappy Pipeward is a starter stage in Indie Pogo. It comes from the game Flappy Bird.[1]

Stage Origin[edit | edit source]

Flappy Pipeyard comes from the Indie mobile game Flappy Bird. Flappy Bird was a side-scrolling mobile game featuring 2D retro style graphics. The objective was to direct a flying bird, who moves continuously to the right, between sets of Mario-like pipes. If the player touches the pipes, they lose.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Layout[edit | edit source]

Flappy Pipeyard is mostly a flat stage, there are two big pipe walls blocking off players from the rest of the Pipeyard. There are three pipes used as platforms, and three pipes coming out the ceiling, therefor mimicking the layout of a regular run in Flappy Bird.

Hazards[edit | edit source]

There are no hazards in Flappy Pipeyard.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • This stage uses custom music created for Indie Pogo, since Flappy Bird doesn't have any music.
  • Oddly, Flappy Bird is one of two games represented in Indie Pogo to not have any trophy, the other being Canabalt Skyline.
  • Flappy Pipeyard was the first banned stage in competitive rules to not feature harmful hazard. It was later joined by Bouncy Castle.
